Organisation: CECED Post Title: Ecodesign Intern Job Location: Brussels Job Description: CECED: Ecodesign intern Job offer: Ecodesign intern Monthly gross remuneration €1300 CECED represents in Brussels the European domestic appliances industry vis à vis the European Political Institutions. CECED members are 14 large domestic appliances manufacturers and national associations representing household appliances manufacturers in 22 European countries. CECED is looking for an Ecodesign intern that should work for a period of 6 months, with opportunity of integration as full time member in the Brussels team. The intern will support the members of the CECED team that follows Ecodesign and Energy general issues including the implementation of the Ecodesign Framework directive. The Commission is carrying out studies to evaluate the environmental impact and improvement potential for a number of appliances. CECED office is following some of the studies and coordinating CECED members in providing the relevant inputs. Responsibilities The Ecodesign intern will be deeply involved in the activities of CECED working groups that follow the above mentioned studies. He/she will also support the team members in drafting position papers, carrying our desk research, organising meetings, drafting minutes, preparing and uploading on the website relevant material. Profile The ideal candidate will be preferably English native speaker, with good written and oral communication skills, while any other language would represent an advantage. He/she should have a University undergraduate or master degree possibly in environmental sciences or at least a scientific background (familiarity with life-cycle assessments and energy issues would be an asset). The ideal candidate should have some understanding of how EU legislation and an interest for institutions work. He/she should also be able to meet deadlines and be ready to work in a multinational environment. Computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook) are also necessary.
