The applicant should possess: „« a university-level education in a scientific discipline (chemistry, biology, agronomy, plant sciences, food sciences or similar) or a proven experience of food policy; „« a good knowledge of the EU institutions and their legislative decision-making processes; „« a thorough knowledge of the English language both written and spoken, a good knowledge of French with a knowledge of other EU languages desirable; „« the ability to write short succinct reports based on EU legislation or industry developments; „« strong interpretive and analytical skills; „« excellent team working skills; „« excellent communication skills; „« computer literacy at a high level; „« strong organisational and coordination skills, and „« be highly motivated. Duties would include interacting with policy makers, association members and other associations to formulate, present and defend the associationˇ¦s positions on food policy. The successful candidate would be required to summarise EU food policy legislation, analyse industry trends and developments, compile background information on sectorial developments and perform statistical analyses of market developments and trade. |
