Copywriters
Qwentes is a Brussels-based communications company which produces both printed and online communication material, principally for several Directorates-General of the European Commission. We are currently looking to reinforce our editorial team and are seeking an individual capable of producing high quality written material in English. Above all, the suitable candidate will demonstrate the ability to transform institutional material into texts which are attractive to and easily understandable by the wider public. Other tasks will include research, proofreading and editing. The position is ideal for anyone with strong writing abilities who would like to learn more about communications and the functioning of the EU institutions.
Profile required:
Essential skills:
* English mother tongue
* Educated to degree level
* Excellent writing ability
* Meticulous
* Able to follow clear style guidelines
* A good team player
* Flexible, positive and enthusiastic
Preferable skills:
* Knowledge of French and other EU languages
* Experience in communications
* An interest in certain topics dealt with by the European Commission (health and consumer issues, research, transport & energy, etc.)
* Patience and a sense of humor
