GreenEve is looking for small group facilitators who will moderate the small group discussions of EuroPolis pan-European Deliberative Poll, which event will be held from the 28th until the 31th of May in Brussels.
Position summary:
This position will require the facilitators to lead the small group discussions in a constructive manner, which helps the participants from all around Europe to exchange their views and build their opinion about key EU policy issues. The facilitators have to deal with all the possible difficulties the international discussion may raise, they should ensure the mutual respect between the participants and their deep understanding of the topics, with the less possible intervention into the debate. The facilitator has to help the participants to formulate common questions, and prepare them to present their questions in front of experts and politicians. The facilitator will be in charge of seeing after the small group throughout the whole event.
The event is in the frame of a scientific experiment, therefore we can offer to the facilitators a compensation fee of 200 euros.
Profile:
•University-level degree in a relevant field (e.g. sociology, political sciences, psychology etc.), or equivalent by experience
•Experience on the field of focus group /small group discussion facilitating
•Previous experience in participative or deliberative democracy initiatives is an asset
•Excellent communication skills
•Ability to speak English fluently and at least one more official language of the EU. Knowledge of more EU languages is a strong asset

Commitment
•8 hours training: Thursday May 28, from 1:00 pm and Friday morning, May 29
•The event: May 29 from the early afternoon, May 30 all day, May 31 until noon.
