We have a vacancy for a full time position of IELTS Assistant in our Brussels office (Examinations Services). This post is for six months initially. There may be an opportunity for renewal before the post expires.
JOB SUMMARY
Play a key role in achieving success for the British Council in meeting or exceeding IELTS growth targets across Belgium and Luxembourg. The person selected will be actively involved in the pre- and post- exam delivery of IELTS (International English Language Testing Service) as well as on the test day.
This post will suit someone who:
•is customer focused and has previous experience of one of the following: examinations delivery, administration or secretarial work (a specific task of inputting candidates’ details accurately in a short time will be set on the day of the interview),
•is a good team player, has a flexible approach, can remain focussed when faced with competing demands and is able to deliver what is expected,
•has written and oral skills in English at CEFR B2/C1 level and written and oral skills in French and/or Dutch at CEFR B1/B2 level.
•is interested in developing their skills and prospects.
HOW WE WORK
This post is part of a team of three working in Examinations Services to offer English language examinations in Belgium and Luxembourg (Cambridge ESOL examinations and IELTS). The Cambridge ESOL examinations have been run in Belgium since the 1940s and are always very popular and in demand. IELTS has experienced vast growth since it was first offered in 1989, with more than 1,200,000 tests now being taken in 120 countries every year. The team’s goal is to confirm IELTS’ position as the market leader in English language examinations and to ensure continued high standards of quality, validity, security and overall integrity.

Starting salary is in the range of € 1885 gross per month
