Main responsibilities:
Conduct research and draft reports under the responsibility of senior staff Monitoring the latest European news in the energy sector Preparation of and participation in workshops, conferences and networking events Participate as an observer in a number of European projects Attend major European energy-related events in Brussels
The internship, will allow the stagiaire/intern to:
- Gain valuable first-hand experience of European energy and environmental policies and legislation, as well as insights in the European decision making process
- Bolster and showcase his/her research skills by drafting reports
- Have the opportunity to learn how European projects are set up and coordinated
- Have the opportunity to participate in a number of external events in Brussels
- Familiarise him/herself with the specificities of working in a dynamic Brussels-based sector organisation
Requirements:
- University Degree
- Good understanding of the policy-making mechanisms of the European Union
- Some experience in desk-based and web-based research welcome
- Basic understanding of energy issues and related topics
- Full mastery of English; working ability in German will be an advantage, as will mastery of other major European languages
- Some aptitude in drafting/editing a variety of bulletins/news clips and articles
- Energy and the flexibility to work in a busy, dynamic international environment
This internship is paid 300 Euros a month.
The internship will start on 23rd April for a period of four to six months.
