Computacenter Belgium is experiencing an explosive growth and therefore are we looking for a SW distribution tools engineer (m/f).
As part of the Development Support Team, you are responsible for creating packages and integrating them into the software distribution tools on the 600 desktops of the software developers.
Your main tasks will be:
* Suggesting processes to improve and facilitate the way software is distributed.
* Monitoring the usage of these tools and maintaining the license agreements on the desktops
* Maintaining the inventory of these tools (both physical and virtual)
* Following the evolution of software distribution tools in the industry and suggesting new tools on the market to improve the developer desktop environment
* Act as SPOC to the infrastructure team
Candidate Requirements :
Education:
Bachelor in computer science graduate or equal by experience
Fluent in Dutch /French (plus good intermediate level of 2nd language), English good level
Technical knowledge in:
Software Packaging for Windows platform (MSI, Wise)
Software Distribution Tools (CA/USD)
Asset Management / Desktop monitoring tools and reporting (Inventory, CMDB, Dashboards, License management)
Virtualization (VMWare ESX, Citrix, softgrid) in order to consult how to install and upgrade new tools around this VMWare
Programming
Methodology used is ITIL
Maintain the configuration management tools
Maintain the market research database
Soft Skills:
Strong sense of organization
Communicative person with IT and the business
Excellent ability to synthesize and report to management
Curious, creative, innovative person
