Organisation: CECED Post Title: Regulatory Affairs Manager Job Location: Brussels, Belgium Closing Date: 19 October 2007 Job Description: CECED, the Brussels-based European committee of household appliance manufacturers, is seeking to appoint a regulatory affairs manager. Responsibilities & assignments 1. Deal with technical matters pertaining to the household appliance industry. 2. Initiate and co-ordinate initiatives among member multinationals and national associations. 3. Coordinate the activity of several technical product and policy working groups. 4. Call meetings of relevant CECED bodies, draft meeting reports and initiate the implementation of decisions taken. 5. Author dossiers and presentations in view of both external and internal senior management meetings. 6. Set up effective advocacy campaigns addressed to policy-makers, the EU’s legislative authorities; liaise with representatives of civil society, in particular of manufacturing industry sectors, International Stardardisation Organisations, testing institutes and certification bodies. Profile 1. An articulate communicator in English and at least another language. Fluency in any additional language will be considered a major plus. 2. Degree in engineering or a related field. 3. Knowledge of the European regulatory and standardisation environment. 4. 3- 5 years work experience. 5. Experience with technological products will be considered a plus. 6. Keen interest in getting things done, i.e. be open-minded, pro-active and results-oriented. 7. Aptitude to work in a multicultural network. 8.
